page03 asked [therealkatiewest]: When you get clouded or overwhelmed, how do you hone in/step back and clear your mind so that you can be creative? As a multi-faceted artist, I get the impression that things just sort of come to you, which makes being artistic easier. But, if that’s not the case, how do you maintain a high level of creativity in the face of a busy life?
Things do come to me, but I don’t think that’s necessarily the best way to make things. I’d probably be a lot more productive if I actually pushed myself to be more creative. But sometimes I try to do that and just piss myself off. I would also say that right now my life is stupid busy and I’m not really maintaining a high level of creativity. Or any creativity at all. I post a picture with some emotional quotation under it that’s like, dudes, I’m so sad, can we be friends? Or something. I think I lost my point. Oh, yes, being artistic is easy and hard. As it should be. Easy because you don’t really have a choice and hard because it’s never enough. As it should be.
