revenge of the fallen - ending is kind of abrupt, but there’s so much good stuff who cares.  totally sweet.  jetfire is the breakout character, much as frenzy was the breakout of the first movie.  bumblebee is still rad, optimus gets to prove that ‘prime’ isn’t a nickname, and there’s just a whole lot going on that’s good.

also, optimus tearing off starscreams arm and beating him with it.

gijoe - the trailer gets less interesting every time i watch it, and at this point it has nothing much to offer that looks good.

terminator - just got owned by transformers.   literally nothing to offer except christian bale, and he’ll be fine in the next batman.

the last airbender - no.  white kid as aang, uncompelling.  white kids as the other two main characters?  hell no.  the visual of the fire nation army laying siege with mortars?  straight out of the cartoon, which doesn’t have that troubling racism.  think i’ll just get the dvd boxed set instead.

2012 - FUCK YES.  this movie is going to be terrible, and while i’d be right there anyways, having john cusack as the lead is going to make it actually worth watching.  amanda peet too; nice to see them together again after identity.

kind of thought there’d be a james cameron’s avatar trailer out by now.

there was a district 9 poster up at the broadway, so that’s a good sign.  and moon opens in portland next month.  hell yes.

now i need to see brothers bloom and up.
