you //guuuuuys//!! the star trek hd crew is moving on to next gen. hd. blu-ray. remastered from the original 35mm film negatives in the paramount archives, with upgraded effects via denise and mike okuda.

this is actually ridiculously ~~nerdy~~ exciting. next gen was shot on hires film (including the ship models), but the fx (phasers / transporters / etc) were done on lores video (which was cheaper), and the whole thing was broadcast from lores video masters, which means outside of generations, nobody has ever seen team d in better than 480p resolution.
